Anyhow this is is exactly what i needed. Thanks! - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 19906351, 12 days agoI like the idea of this extension a lot and wish I could use it, I am autistic and find the way the dumb big idiocracy style phone style format is forced on me really annoying, I want the grid where I can look at all the results quick and try find what I actually want to look at instead of scrolling through junk... BUT... I have installed it, enabled the options to hide mix and shorts, and I am still getting big blocks of "Mix" showing up at top of search results as well and the huge rows of awful Shorts slop - the options don't seem to be working though I am getting a grid results of sorts it's ruined by the thing of Google where they keep trying to force you into shorts by spamming rows of shorts every 4 or so actual search results, then doing sponsored video slop too, so it breaks up the usefulness of the grid search
Basically - grid view is broken up by mix slop up at the top, then endless rows of shorts shorts, playlist, sponsored that are so spammed that it breaks up any chance of a readable grid. It seems google are fully phoneposter now - Rated 5 out of 5by Skylet Star, 17 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by T976, a month agoNot working to hide watched videos and three months since last update.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Echo of Abyss, a month agoIt's ok at the very best, actively worse in cases.
I wanted to look up the video 'I will be' from the creator ozumiiwizard...
I searched for 'ozu I will be', and it showed me some stupid mix first and didn't give me the video by itself.
Ok, maybe YT is dumb, so I'll disable it from showing playlists in search.
It now no longer shows me ANYTHING related to the song.
I tried it in a private window, just to see if it's the extension or not... IT IS THE EXTENSION that actively filtered out the video I was searching for.
It's possible that it did it several times in the past while I was searching for a video I remembered and wanted to rewatch, but I can't know in all honesty.
If you install this, search for videos to try it out if it actually makes search better for you or not. - Rated 5 out of 5by Heather, a month ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by sigh, 2 months agoThis works so incredibly!! I can finally use YouTube again. I literally can't believe how broken the search function was before this, it was so cluttered and gross, I'm so glad this makes it functional again, thank you so much!!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Rion, 2 months agoGot so used to Youtube behaving reasonably that when I tried a new browser without the extension I thought it had broken. Went back to add it as soon as I could!

posted a month agoIt's incredible how often YouTube amends and adds to those extraneous features. It's a cat-and-mouse game on my end trying to keep up as well. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19775940, 2 months agoAbsolute poo. Its supposed to hide Shorts when searching. THE ONLY THING THAT SHOWS UP IN SEARCH ARE SHORTS, not one single regular video. And don't tell me it's a conflicting plugin, I went so far as to delete every other one I had, and reset the system, to try and troubleshoot the issue.

posted 2 months agoUsing the same production version as everyone on my system and it works fine for me. Maybe try changing the setting toggles. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18863959, 2 months ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by BigBoned, 3 months agoI love everything about this, except that I can not make it work. It does nothing, and under the stats menu it has also not blocked anything yet. I run a few other plugins, i.e. uBlock Origin and Privacybadger. YouTube is run inside FF Multiaccount Container, but when in window and hovering plugin it says it has access to the site/YouTube.
I would like to change my review if I get it to work, but until that I can not really give a better score.
All the best to the developer though, great features and it looks like it works for most people.Developer response
posted 2 months agoHi, sorry about the trouble you faced. This is indeed the first time I've heard of this. Mind coming over to gitlab and opening an issue on this page - https://gitlab.com/phoennix/youtubesearchfix/-/issues?
We can talk about this bug in a detailed and better way on there. - Rated 5 out of 5by Yeahnoiknow, 4 months ago
