Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? Are you using any other VPN, proxy, or custom DNS services? Contact us at protonvpn.com/support/contact so we can help you troubleshoot. - Rated 1 out of 5by QuarkZ, a year agoAs many others have pointed out, this extension is crap. It regularly disconnects so pages won't load, as in, very frequently, making it extremely annoying to use...

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17603376, a year agoTotally unreliable. Icon on app in tool bar often shows wrong status. Often hangs. Blocks after suspend and have to turn extension off then on again. As bad as Proton's Linux VPN app, wish I wasn't a paying customer.

posted a year agoThe browser extension is currently not officially supported on Firefox for Android, however, we will work on a mobile-friendly version in the future. In the meantime, you can download the native Proton VPN app at protonvpn.com/download-android. - Rated 1 out of 5by Jojo, a year ago

posted a year agoSorry to hear that. We've shared your feedback with the team for further investigation. That said, if you have the opportunity to install our native Proton VPN app or connect through the manual setup methods, we'd suggest doing so as an alternative. - Rated 1 out of 5by Александр, a year agoДля начала работы VPN надо войти в аккаунт, а при попытке войти в аккаунт выдаёт ошибку: "При соединении с account.proton.me произошла ошибка. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR". Не рабочее дополнение

For whatever reason it always selects the Netherlands, which is extremely slow here.
Being able to pre-select the country is a must, I think.Developer response
posted a year agoThe default auto-connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, if you wish to connect to a specific server of your choice, you may consider upgrading your plan. On another note, you can learn more about improving your connection speeds at protonvpn.com/support/increase-vpn-speeds. - Rated 1 out of 5by tron34, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by SiriuslyDaniel, a year agolove proton but this is for paid only. It chooses fastest for you or you have to pay. It wouldn't even load or accept it for me to even try.
My free fastest is in Netherlands and I'm in USA.
So I guess I have to pay or it needs updated?Developer response
posted a year agoThe default auto-connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server by disconnecting and reconnecting again, or you can upgrade your plan to connect to a specific server of your choice. - Rated 1 out of 5by Izzyy, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18857006, a year agopaying customer here. I constantly have to re-sign in again and again, this happens every few days. no other extensions active.

posted a year agoSorry to hear that. Could you describe the issues further? Are you getting automatically logged out of the extension? What are the specific steps you're taking that lead to the behavior? Are you receiving any error messages?
Furthermore, what version of your browser and the Proton VPN extension do you currently have installed? Are you using any other extensions for privacy/security purposes? Please contact us at protonvpn.com/support/contact with more details so we can assist you further. - Rated 1 out of 5by Alex Mirnov, a year agoЯкщо ви зареєструєтесь на їхньому сайті, вам на пошту буде приходити спам-розвод, де будуть казати, наче у вас троян і у вас вкрали інформацію.

posted a year agoThis is simply false. All Proton apps are open source and have been independently audited and verified by third-party experts. Anyone can see and verify that our apps do what we claim. With that in mind, Proton is completely trustworthy and has nothing to do with any of the issues you've mentioned.
Nonetheless, if you have any additional details to share regarding the matter, feel free to contact us at proton.me/support/contact. We'd be happy to address any concerns you may have. - Rated 1 out of 5by tttt, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Amit Baum, a year agoProton Free plan is only for 308 servers in 6 countries, probably not the country that you need.
Should appear much before I install this extension and try to signup for free.Developer response

Anyone can sign up for our Free plan, and we don't ask for any payment details during signup. That said, having an account does not endanger your privacy and security in any way.
