by TigerNightmare, 3 years agoStarted using 3.0, and it's a lot less usable than the previous version. The biggest problem I have is how the extension hijacks the Home, End, and arrow keys. Whenever I make a change in a playlist, YouTube unloads everything in the list after the 100th video and I need to hold down the End key until everything returns. With the update, the extension only scrolls to the 100th video when I press End, so I have to turn the extension off, hold down End until the rest of the videos load, then turn it back on. It's also annoying if I try to use the arrow keys to scroll up or down a little and it just jumps back to the whatever video was highlighted. (EDIT: I think End still works to scroll, but it takes a moment to load and there isn't a spinning wheel to indicate anything is happening)
There's a new confirmation prompt when I try to remove several videos at once, which adds another step.
While clicking anywhere on a playlist item to select it is easier and faster than clicking a box, this disables drag and drop, which is useful when I want to move a single video into another location. It's easier to click and hold, scroll up, then release than it is to click, scroll, right click, then click move down here. Another added step.
I also miss the videos being numbered, which gave me easy reference points to find when moving through a large playlist.
The center bottom location of the toolbar blocks the bottom video, and having to click the three dots to use functions I use all the time, while three functions I rarely use are always visible. I would like all functions visible or customizable, and the bar should span to the left of the Multiselect button, blocking the search bar, which I wouldn't be using when organizing a list anyway.
I hope the next version is as helpful as previous versions.
EDIT: Lowered rating to 1 star for the immature developer response to legitimate, constructive criticism. All of these things can be fixed and more people would use this extension if they were, but if this person would rather encourage me to uninstall than make improvements, then I encourage everyone dissatisfied with these changes to look elsewhere, as this is apparently the final version.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Goulart, a month agoIt had a few small bugs, and the interface was not the most intuitive. But it worked pretty fine to me!

- Rated 5 out of 5by heero0080, 3 months agoMultiselect for YouTube allowed me to backup and copy my writing playlist to another Gmail/YouTube account. I decided to do this after YouTube, out of nowhere, deleted my account due to a political video I had saved in my political playlist during the Biden and Trump campaigns of 2024. They said I violated YouTube terms by saving a YouTuber's video in my playlist. Apparently, this is something YouTube has done for a while, as I found multiple people online with the same complaints. I was able to get my YouTube account and playlists back in a few days. But to lose a 2000-video playlist of my favorite videos really showed me the need to have multiple accounts under different Gmails.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15213964, 4 months agoAmazing thank you. Still works despite not being updated in over a year. Just grabbed over 200 videos from my watch later list and added them to a new playlist in one go.
