This extension is really for Chinese speakers. Using it to translate into English is cumbersome, and it merely duplicates Google Translate.

"Really", no; "mainly", yes. It's a community driven FOSS. Anyone can choose to participate.

There is an "options" page in which you can pick different dictionaries.

Page translation is more of a supplement feature in Saladict for Chinese users.
