    In a fresh install of Firefox Portable 150.0.1 with no other extensions or customizations on Windows 11 25H2, this extension will quickly identify all the duplicates... but then it takes approximately 2-3 seconds per bookmark to actually remove the duplicates - meaning it will take about 2 days to deduplicate a collection of 50,000+ bookmarks. If there are steps to follow to improve this, it would be good to have documentation available per such.

    Hi, Thanks for the detailed report and large-scale test case.

    I'd like to narrow down where the slowdown is occurring. Could you share a bit more about the workflow you used?

    - Did you manually select bookmarks for deletion, or use one of the quick-select modes?
    - If quick-select was used, which option was it?
    > First occurrence in same folders
    > Last occurrence in same folders
    > First occurrence
    > Last occurrence

    - Approximately how many bookmarks were selected for deletion at once?
    - Does the slowdown happen during the actual deletion step, or afterward while the extension refreshes/re-scans the bookmark tree?
    - Does Firefox become temporarily unresponsive, or does it continue working but remove bookmarks very slowly over time?

    This will help me narrow down whether the bottleneck is related to bulk deletion handling, UI refreshes, or post-delete duplicate re-scanning on very large bookmark collections.

    Responsive and quick.
    Appears to be thorough in find duplicates.

    A very helpful feature to add would be a 'find empty folder' function.

    Hi, Thank you for the review.
    I have pushed a new update with option to find empty folders and untitled bookmarks and folders too. You can update the extension.

    I really like the feature of being able to search in specific folders. 5 stars if I can type-search to find folders. Scrolling to select them manually is time-consuming.

    EDIT: 5 stars for the quick improvements.

    Other Awesome Suggestions:
    1. No Refresh when updating bookmarks. Currently, if I update the title of a bookmark in the list, it updates the entire list, which seems unnecessary.
    2. Advanced filter options for searching bookmarks (regex would be awesome)
    3. Advanced matching for bookmarks - Currently, only url direct matching is available, but it would be nice for more flex in matching to find duplicate bookmarks. (See Bookmark Dupes add-on, which does this really well)
    4. Find Bookmarks with Missing Names (Titles)
    5. Find/Remove Empty Folders
    6. Merge Folders with Same Path & Name (Duplicate Folders)
    7. Toggle to show duplicates in same folder, or all duplicates.

    Some of these are covered by other add-ons, but they are missing other features this one has. I don't expect all of these to be added, but if so, it would definitely become the best add-on for handling duplicate bookmarks.

    Hi,
    Thank you for sharing your suggestions—they look great, and I’ve noted them down.

    I would like to request some time before rolling out a new version, as the UI will need adjustments to accommodate these changes, along with updates to the internal logic for bookmark matching.

    I also apologize for the inconvenience caused by the refreshing of bookmarks when renaming one (point 1). This issue will be addressed in the next update.

    I truly appreciate your interest in improving the extension. While I’m currently busy, I’ve prioritized your suggestions and will push a release as soon as possible. Your patience and support mean a lot—thank you!
