by Firefox user 13565575, 3 months agoThis would be actually good and useful if it didn't have a limit of 10 downloads for free users, making it completely worthless and a waste of my time.
EDIT: Interestingly, AMO doesn't allow to give direct replies.
I encourage anyone who was interested in and consecutively disappointed by this addon to look up alternatives. There's a few on GitHub.com and they're completely free to use, not to mention open source as well.

posted a month agoThank you for your honest feedback—we really appreciate you letting us know how you feel about the free download limit.
We designed the 10 free downloads as a try-before-you-buy option to let you experience the core functionality of the tool first. The limit exists to manage server load and ensure the service remains available for all users (as server bandwidth and maintenance come with real costs).
Our monthly subscription is intentionally affordable to support the ongoing costs of keeping the tool running. Many users find that the convenience of downloading emojis in bulk (instead of saving them one by one) makes the subscription well worth it, and we’re always working to add more value to justify the cost.
We’d love to have you give the free trial a shot to see if the tool fits your needs, and we’re open to any further suggestions you have to help us improve. Thanks for your input!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Cosmi Latte, 17 days agoCreated a new server and discovered to my horror that Discord has removed the ability to right-click to download emojies (no doubt this has been true for a long time) - I immediately went to Firefox and was rewarded once again by its amazing add-on developer community. This is exactly what it says on the tin - clean and easy to use interface, fast, and well-organized!
My one curiosity is on the subscription model. Free tier is described as "10 items/batch" - does this mean unlimited 10 item batches, or is there an eventual end to this free trial? To clarify, I do respect the necessity of monetization for small developers and wish you (add-on creator) all the best. - Rated 5 out of 5by kenjisato, a month agoBulk downloading emojis in one click is a game changer. Works fast and reliably.

posted a month agoFirst off, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback—we truly value every opinion from our users.
We completely understand your concern about the subscription model, and we want to be transparent: the monthly subscription helps cover the server and maintenance costs required to keep the emoji download service running smoothly. Our servers handle thousands of requests daily, and these costs are essential to ensure fast, reliable, and stable access for all users.
While we offer a free trial to let you test the tool’s functionality, our subscription model supports the ongoing upkeep of the service. We also continuously update the tool to fix bugs and add new features, which only happens with the resources from subscriptions.
We hope this clarifies our approach, and we’d love to welcome you back to give the tool another try once you’ve had a chance to consider our transparent cost breakdown. Thanks again for your feedback—it helps us improve! - Rated 1 out of 5by ManiikSunday, 3 months agoIf I could give this a 0 I would. 10 limit unless you paypig literally kills the point of this downloader. I might as well use the thing in github or save one by one.

posted a month agoWe’re sorry to hear the 10-download free limit left you disappointed—we get how frustrating that can be!
To clarify, the free trial limit is in place to cover server infrastructure costs (hosting, bandwidth, and maintenance), which are necessary to keep the download tool fast and accessible for everyone. Without these costs, the service wouldn’t be able to run reliably for any users.
We designed the subscription to be low-cost so that anyone who uses the tool regularly can access it without breaking the bank. Many users who upgrade find that the time-saving benefits (no more saving emojis one by one) far outweigh the small subscription cost.
We’d really appreciate it if you could give the free trial another look, and we hope you’ll see the value in the tool once you use it. Thanks for your feedback—it pushes us to keep improving! Developer response
