- Rated 4 out of 5by Spy, 10 days agoOne of the best currency converter apps on Firefox.
The only big issue is that the exchange rates seem very outdated or incorrect. At least in my case, I am checking Southeast Asian currencies a lot, so PHP, THB, VND, against USD or EUR, and it's way off. For example, at this moment it says 2k USD = 53m VND, but right now 2k USD is 52,712,000 VND. So it's 88k VND off. I have not run into any other currency converter extensions with this kind of exchange "smoothing" or gap. I wish it were fixed, but this is still my go-to extension. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17821702, 10 months agoWorks great, you can set it so that you simply hover over a price and you get the converted rate but I wish it had an option that allowed you to see multiple currencies at once, for example if I want to see the price in 3 currencies in one shot like AED, USD, and CAD

- Rated 4 out of 5by -, 3 years agoGood. Issues: It intrudes with localization warnings nonstop, even when turned off. Price calculation takes a lot of time. Mini calculator doesn't work. Spawns into edit boxes.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Heroic_Brine, 5 years agoGood app but has one massive flaw. if you blacklist a site the plugin still converts just dose not show it to you, this causes extreme lag on site with a large amount of numbers making me have to keep disabling and reenabling.
Developer response
posted 5 years agoThat was actually not intended as a flaw, moreso as it simplified assumptions if the flow was always gone through, even if it wasnt shown to the user, hadn't seen performance issues either, but I may be biased since I have a pretty powerful pc, I will look at returning it to leave sites alone entirely if blacklisted (I will still allow the context menu, but then a refresh is requred if the site is whitelisted)
It would also be a great help if you would send an email to baizeydevelopment@gmail.com about which urls cause extreme lag, it might be a bug I would have to look into :) - Rated 4 out of 5by ZoMaX, 7 years agoFor simple uses this addon is great, but websites use to be more complex today which breaks some of this addons functionality. F.ex Aliexpress can list prices as "US $10 - 20" (ex Price range). This shows after conversion as "US 70 DKK - 20". Which should optimally be "70 - 140 DKK" with both values converted...
but again, I understand that this is a more complex task than just a quick conversion tool can handle.Developer response
posted 7 years agoYeah this is a known issue and likely fixable, I just need a bit of freetime to give it a look :)
2019-09-22: 2.7.5 is now deployed which should address most of the issues with ranges
2019-10-06: I misunderstood part of the review, yes problems like "US $20" will be hard to handle, not the individual cases, but the fact that a lot of sites have their own unique versions of this and they have to practically be hard coded
2019-10-17: version 2.8.0 will be out soon (tm) and include support for some edge cases like 'US $' alongside a bigger feature. If you find other sites with special ways to display currencies do please email either the site or currency format to baizeydevelopment@gmail.com - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12679861, 7 years ago
