- Rated 5 out of 5by Rex101, a year agoGreat add on for organizing windows! One big request. Can you add a keyboard shortcut for unstashing windows? It's a bit cumbersome using the mouse, and in my firefox if a window has many tabs (10+) it 'covers up', the context menu on right click.
How about /unstash [windowname] to restore a new window?
One more request: Allow user to 'move' a tab into a stashed folder. This would close the tab and add it to a stashed folder. This comes in handy when I don't want to review a tab right now, but I don't want to lose it.
Otherwise, great work and I can see this becoming a core part of the workflow for power users like me with a couple more fixes like the above.Developer response
posted a year agoAs of v2.9.0 you can now show stash folders in the panel with /viewstash. You can send tabs to them and unstash them from there.
You also have always been able to send tabs to folders by right-clicking on a folder to get that menu command. - Rated 5 out of 5by prempatel8, a year agoThe best window manager I have used so far, works very well with the Window Titler plugin to manage all open FireFox windows and tabs
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17822392, a year agoAbsolutely essential extension if you use multiple Firefox windows for different tasks/purposes. Also, if running KDE on Linux, this extension will expose window titles that you can use to apply window rules (e.g., open this Firefox window on this desktop, etc.).

fantastic plugin for those who work with many tabs and open windows on firefox. essential for workflow! - Rated 5 out of 5by Jbbr, 3 years agoIt's taken me over three years to discover the existence of this addon, and I'm so glad that I have. In the ten minutes I've been using it, it's doing everything I need and has immediately become indispensable. I'm totally loving the slash command controls.
It just remains for me to install it on all the other Firefox instances I use and perfect Firefox window workflows are enabled everywhere.
Lionel, you are an inspired genius, thank you so much for this; much respect to you. :)
PS: How do we trigger a Mozilla review and recommendation for this exceptionally brilliant addon? - Rated 5 out of 5by Mike Lei, 3 years agoThe last missing piece of Firefox window management. Seamlessly integrated with the tab bar and carefully designed to every detail. A must have extension if you want to leverage the full power of multi-window browsing!

- Rated 5 out of 5by SinFei, 4 years agoPerfect, just what I needed! I like how it can be controlled via the keyboard in addition to mouse. It just needs some kind of session management to avoid losing windows (it happened to me after closing and reopening firefox) and maybe storing windows to the cloud and be able to open just one window on another device.

posted 4 years agoI suggest using a dedicated session management extension. I haven't made any plans to add such a feature in Winger but I will explore whether it's worth it.
Storing windows and opening them on another device is possible with the Stash/Unstash commands and synced bookmarks! - Rated 5 out of 5by keedi, 4 years ago
