- Rated 1 out of 5by Anu1234, 2 years agoThe pop-ups are very annoying. The majority of the time the pop-up will appear in a bad location, blocking buttons on the main page I am browsing, and there is no way to close the pop-up so I just have to wait for it to automatically close.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Frédéric Jeanbart, 3 years agoHow does it work? I've installed it, ticked all option checkmarks, just to make sure to see it at least once while browsing Amazon and trying this addon... But nothing shows up on Amazon Canada, not on product pages, not on the cart page, not on the checkout page... It simply doesn't work, hence it resolves to a Web spider lurking behind you wherever you go or you buy on the web. Removing!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17408587, 3 years agoExtension has never worked since before capital one bought it from wikibuy. Promotions DON'T WORK, Coupons DON'T WORK, and worse is that contacting Capital one about the problems with their app DOESN'T WORK either. Samuel L. Jackson is awesome but this Mother F$^%#@& Capital One Shopping app DOESN'T WORK or do anything but waste your time.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Parker Mauney, 3 years agoThis add-on launches many requests without any user interaction if it detects a coupon code section on a page. Sometimes it'll roll through as many as 20 different codes, applying each of them to determine the amount saved. Often times this automatic runaway process straight up breaks sites or shopping carts by triggering rate limiters or overriding manually-selected discounts/affinities. The settings are - I believe - somehow managed through the capitaloneshopping web site, but it is not at all clear what settings will change what behavior in the add-on. If the Capital One name were not tied to this add-on then I would instantly disregard it as malicious. The links section here all point to generic web pages that are not at all related to the add-on which frankly behaves like it's compromised.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Miguel, 3 years agoIt interferes with the Lowes.com website. Besides their coupons or savings don't add to much after all. I will be removing it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17897492, 3 years agoI have had this for years and as far as I can tell it has never ever actually saved a dime. Claims to find a discount but never ever actually applies one.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Twinderella, 4 years agoI uninstalled this app because it was useless and I am STILL getting pop ups or it, and not just on Firefox where I added it, but ALL of my browsers! AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS!

Eat a fat one Capital One.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17579239, 4 years agoThis addon will find valid coupons from time to time. However, it will automatically apply coupons any chance it gets and you have ZERO control over the behavior. Have a nice 25% off coupon? Awesome! This widget will overwrite it with an expired, invalid, or 5% off coupon automatically as you check out, and automatically hose your purchases. PITA to deal with this plugin and keep correcting it's unwanted automated behavior, on a slow system or connection.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Gary9450, 4 years agoIf you use this app, then make sure you spend a little time searching for a better price elsewhere for an item on Amazon that this app says is the "Best Price." My experience taught me that most of the time there are lower prices for the same item than on Amazon, and Capital One Shopping app doesn't find them (plus, it mostly checks only eBay prices). Try it, you'll see.
- Rated 1 out of 5by J. Charles, 4 years agoIn summary: only use this app if you're willing to gamble that you will eventually get the rewards! There is no phone support, and I am not convinced that their email support is competent!
After installing this add-on, it recommended I purchase something from a different site than Amazon.com so I can save more money after cash back. I made sure the offer was activated before my purchase - the add-on indicated it was. Two months after my purchase, I still haven't received the cash back.
There is no phone support for CapitalOne Shopping - you can only email them. Regular CapitalOne credit card support will not help you with CapitalOne Shopping issues.
I emailed them about my purchase on Chewy.com and they responded that they did not see any record of a Macys.com purchase (!?). I emailed back that it was through Chewy.com and they said they still found no trace of it. I asked if they could give me credit given I have a receipt and I used the card and followed all instructions, but they have not done so. I'm afraid that I will never get my rewards...
The coupon codes also usually don't work at all. - Rated 1 out of 5by reluctantchef, 4 years agoI tested this app looking for 32" computer monitors. The results showed 1000s of non-monitor items and did not show real pricing. Also, the search results showed many items that were out of stock, in addition to showing incorrect (lower than actual) pricing, when the listing was actually a computer monitor. This app is at best a waste of time, and more likely a back door into your online purchases.
