About this extension
SitesNuker helps you take control of your daily screen time on addictive websites. Set per-site time limits (in minutes), and when your time is up, the site gets blocked automatically. Need more time? A 20-second cooldown makes you think twice before extending.
Key features:
- Per-site daily limits – choose how many minutes you can spend on YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, and other sites each day (10-minute default, 1-hour hard cap).
- Hard blocking – uses Firefox's declarativeNetRequest API to block sites at the browser level, not just with an overlay.
- Extend countdown – adding time requires waiting through a 20-second timer, discouraging impulsive extensions.
- Nuclear mode – instantly block ALL tracked sites for a chosen duration (5 minutes to 5 hours) when you need to focus.
- Usage statistics – track your daily averages, weekly trends, and per-site breakdowns with color-coded progress bars.
- Smart domain detection – automatically recognizes aliases (e.g. x.com → twitter.com, youtu.be → youtube.com).
- Preset sites – comes with YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter pre-configured (fully customizable).
- Privacy-first favicons – letter-based site icons with no external API calls.
- Multilingual – available in English, Polish, German, Spanish, and Russian.
- All data stays local in your browser – no accounts, no servers, no tracking. Your browsing data never leaves your device.
