- Rated 4 out of 5by noahc3, a year agoVery nearly what I'm looking for... the only thing I really want is to have tab groups visible in the sidebar in an accordion style rather than groups that you need to "move into". I would like to be able to see all tabs across multiple (or all) groups in the sidebar at once - I don't mind how exactly this is implemented behind the scenes, it could still use group context switching and such when I click between tabs in different groups. But being able to open and see tabs from multiple groups at once would provide feature parity with tab grouping in other browsers (not to mention all the extra features this addon provides on top of that), especially now that we can use the sidebar effectively as a replacement for the default Firefox tab list.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18248909, a year agoReally great. I got comfortable with it and had hundreds of tabs saved in different groups (I like how when you open the browser it has the tabs saved but only loads the tabs you actually go to in that session to save CPU usage and memory, and you can close Firefox and reopen it if you have too many loaded in memory). When some error caused it to lose all the tabs, I simply restored the backup because of the extension's nifty automatic backup. The only problem is there is no way to allow it access to files on my device, so if I'm viewing pdfs in a different tab group, and then go to that group, I can't see the pdfs again unless I manually copy the file path into the address bar to load them again, which gets tedious if I'm viewing several pdfs in various tabs for school. They should add the ability to grant that permission so that it will smoothly reopen pdfs just like it smoothly reopens websites. Fix that and 5 stars!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15210357, a year agoI have a question regarding the permission requests of the Simple Tab Groups extension by Drive4ik.
As I'm sure many of you know, this extension needs to:
This add-on needs to:
Download files and read and modify the browser’s download history
Monitor extension usage and manage themes
Display notifications to you
Access recently closed tabs
Hide and show browser tabs
Access browser tabs
Store unlimited amount of client-side data
Access your data for all websites
This add-on may also ask to:
Read and modify bookmarks
Theoretically, I find this extension useful but I am concerned about the "Access your data for all websites" requirement. I read through Mozilla's permission request messages for Firefox extensions documentation and it seems like granting this extension these permissions would be a huge risk for the work I do– investigative journalism. It seems like I'll trade organizational benefits for a wider attack surface.
Can anyone speak more about the risks involved with using this extension, the trustworthiness of the developer, and why it needs the "Access your data for all websites" capability?
Thank you. - Rated 4 out of 5by Алексей, 2 years agoЕсли в процессе загрузки страницы произошла ошибка, например, 'Попытка соединения не удалась', то переключение между группами горячими клавишами становится недоступной.
- Rated 4 out of 5by rk, 2 years agoWorking well up until the most recent version of Firefox. Not even restoring a backup works now.
EDIT. For those having similar issues. I think the trick is to open about:config and set closeWindowWithLastTab to false. - Rated 4 out of 5by TonyDanza, 2 years agoGreat extension. I like to organize my tabs around subjects (Gaming, School, Personal, etc.) using this extension. With the added option to unload tabs from memory while not in use, this can make having dozens of tabs open more efficient and more practical.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Jayden, 2 years agowould love if we could sign in to this extension and have groups sync across devices like a proper workspace
- Rated 4 out of 5by fontaholic, 2 years agothis addon is ALMOST PERFECT. two things i'd love to see is the ability to SYNC TAB GROUPS across machines signed in to the same firefox account and the ability to SAVE PINNED TABS in a tab group. losing pinned tabs every time i forget and close a tab group is a real bummer.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Alch, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by mimi, 2 years agoalmost works for me but not quite :(
- no way i can see to include multiple windows in a group (for example, having multiple windows open for school and when i finish, unloading those tabs to open windows in a group for my art project. why does every window have to be a separate group?)
- difficult to add current tab/tabs/window to an existing group (a single and intuitive button for this is nice, like tab stash has)
- "other tabs" also not separated by windows, feels cluttered and confusing - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12292543, 2 years agoI'm using this addons for years and love it.
Little bugs with Tile Tabs WE addon.
Not working with Floorp browser. - Rated 4 out of 5by lordmax, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15136999, 2 years agoI originally love this add on but for the last few weeks it hasn't been working properly and I'm unable to switch groups or effectively use the add on anymore. I can't find another replacement add on either which leaves me stuck.
- Rated 4 out of 5by André luiz, 2 years agoMostly, it's kinda hard to manage a huge amount of groups and tabs, as you can't multi-select groups and tabs. It's really hard to move tabs around groups, organize the order of groups, delete multiple groups at once, etc. It's not as practical as it should be. And I think the UI is kinda outdated, though that's just aesthetics. But also, it is the only tab group extension I've seen that saves this much memory. You open a group and it doesn't load 60 tabs unless you specifically tell it to. For that alone, I don't switch from Firefox to Chrome (because Firefox mobile fucking sucks, at least on MIUI). I also like the praticality of deleting tabs from a group. You open the group and close the tab normally, it counts. For some reason other extensions are more convoluted than that, which is fucking nuts. And lastly, the backups are hit or miss. The automatic and manual local backups are great, but the bookmarks are really weird to me. Like, why doesn't it synchronize with current tabs (or at least have an option for that)? Instead, it adds the initial tabs and then keeps adding new ones infinitely. It's looks like a mess and I see no point in it. For me to get all my groups, as they currently are, as bookmarks, I have to delete the STG folder and wait for it to save again. That or I'd have to add every single one manually, but that's not viable.
I'd give it a 3 for lack of practicality when organizing shit, but it keeping me stuck on Firefox because of how useful it is makes it a 4. - Rated 4 out of 5by Newskung, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Skippy, 2 years agoVery useful extension for organizing my (many) tabs. I did find that the 'load x group' hotkey options such as 'load next group' were broken; I would like to see that fixed.
- Rated 4 out of 5by great04, 2 years agoGood functions. But is there a way to sync group between devices? Thanks
- Rated 4 out of 5by Ohscarry, 2 years agoThis addons is amazing. I can create a group for every work tasks which keeps my browser organized and I don't have to search for specific tabs from dozens of open tabs.
This is a smallish thing, but I wish that when you open the tab groups list, the selection would jump to the current tab group (instead of having to scroll the list to see which group name is highlighted)
I also wish I could rename tabs. (I know there's a separate addon for that, but I'd rather have one plugin that does it all) - Rated 4 out of 5by Blackwell, 2 years agoDevelop extensions, it's important because Firefox doesn't have extension grouping, hopefully it will be lighter and work faster, without crashes, and new features, thanks.
- Rated 4 out of 5by hfrmobile, 2 years agoI am used to have "Tab Groups" on all used browsers but FF does not offer this natively so I installed this Add-On.
It does not work properly. When I move a tab to a group sometimes it does not disappear.
I do not like the approach at all! I want to have it like on Chrome and EDGE. Maybe the FF API does not offer that kind of integration?
For me this Add-On is a workaround until FF developers will add native support for it.
So for the moment I'll try to avoid FF as often I can and switch to Chrome and EDGE.
2024-10-04 Update my review a bit and increased to 4 stars since it is useful. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17763087, 2 years agoグループ分けが非常に便利ですが、タブを閉じた時複数のタブが残っているのに稀に現在のグループから別のグループに移動してしまうバグが出る場合が有る。
