About this extension
GeoLock is a Firefox extension that gives you fine-grained control over sub-resource requests on a per-page basis.
For every request initiated by a webpage, GeoLock evaluates a configurable list of rules and decides whether to block or allow it. Rules can match on:
• geoip — country code from a v2fly-format database (resolved via DNS at runtime)
• geosite — domain category from a v2fly-format database
• domain — regular expression against the host
• url — regular expression against the full URL
• ip — CIDR (IPv4 or IPv6)
• logical combinators: AND, OR, NOT, with optional bidirectional matching
Rules pair a source matcher (the page initiating the request) with a destination matcher (what the page is loading); both must match for the rule to fire. Rules can be made bidirectional so the source and destination roles may be swapped. Isolate rules express a single set and fire when traffic crosses its boundary (when source XOR destination is in the set). A rule only fires when its conditions definitively match; rules abstain when the data needed to decide is missing, falling through to the next rule or the default action.
GeoIP/Geosite databases are not bundled. You configure HTTPS URLs to v2fly-format .dat files and GeoLock fetches and caches them on a schedule of your choice.
No telemetry. No data leaves your browser except DNS lookups and the data-source URLs you configure.
