- Rated 4 out of 5by jigglysackles, 2 years agoHad a great experience with this add-on. Would really like it if there was a way to block Short channels. Not ALL shorts, just channels like the normal videos. Fingers crossed that comes in the future! I've blocked so many channels though and it's made my yt so much better.
- Rated 4 out of 5by kergelan, 2 years agoGood for blocking videos that I keep getting that I don't want to watch, though it would be nice if there was a setting that would still allow you to see the videos in search.

Feature request: an option to block "includes paid promotion" videos too. - Rated 1 out of 5by Ash, 2 years agoLikely abandoned addon that has lost functionality as a direct result. Advertised features are no longer available.
Previously a very effective mod that did very well at blocking unwanted content or users from view. Presently, barely functional, requiring advanced knowledge of the Youtube environment to make work. - Rated 5 out of 5by Marcelo, 2 years agoExcellent extension. The only way to block stupid videos from YouTube.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18632871, 2 years agoThis does not work. It used to work fine. It no longer works, it blocks nothing. Kind of useless.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13302641, 2 years agoA strange bug: after one day of working, YT suddenly recognizes it as an unwanted adblocker and disables playback, you have to remove cookies both from google.* and youtube.com. Also, the Block video option from the 3-dot menu seems to not hide a video.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nezumi, 2 years agoLike I said - I am changing it back to 5 stars because it is working again. And it is AMAZING add-on, essential for me. Shields me from stuff I do not want to see ever again. Thank you!

I can't wait to get the ver.0.4.4 - Rated 5 out of 5by narmlj, 2 years ago8 months ago, the add-on stopped working, then the authors worked tirelessly to fix it. It seems that youtube/google/alphabet just can't stand the idea of people having control over the endless disgusting slop oozing out of their website, because an update to youtube has broken this add-on once again.
I see some people saying that only the context menu has broken, but for my part, the entire add-on no longer functions at all. Oddly, the mobile version appears to still be working...
At this point, I wouldn't blame the contributors for giving up on this sisiphean chore. I certainly hope not! I want to stress how good this add-on is, WHEN it's working, in that youtube is so much more tolerable when you aren't being bombarded with gross-out bait videos, propaganda, or 'exclamation and arrow' spam. Sometimes you don't hate a channel, but get nothing but recommendations for that person... and you just want to filter your search results temporarily.
This tool is amazingly versatile, and I think indispensable in taming our increasingly corporatized internet. - Rated 2 out of 5by Amethyst, 2 years agoThis used to be an essential add-on, but starting several months ago context menu blocking broke for comments. And now context menu blocking is fully broken for videos and channels too. I can still block the channels by manually adding them by name or ID (which is a pain to find/extract), but this is an unacceptably slow process. I really hope the dev finds the time to fix it.

- Rated 3 out of 5by MikeHungerford, 2 years agoWorked great for a long time, then YouTube changed something and it doesn't work at all. Hopefully the author will fix it soon.
